Are organic layer pellets more expensive?
Generally yes, because organic materials cost more to grow and process. Many keepers consider this worthwhile for improved hen welfare, sustainability and egg quality.
Will switching to organic feed change my hen’s behaviour?
Hens typically adapt quickly, this can be done over a period of 5-7 days mixing in with their old feed. Although subjective some keepers say the birds become more active and show improved feather condition due to the natural oils and nutrients found in organic mixes.
