Can i feed maintenance pellets to both males and females?
Yes. Maintenance pellets are suitable for all adult ostriches, including males and non-laying females. Only females that are actively producing eggs require the switch to layer pellets.
How much feed does an ostrich need per day?
Most adult ostriches consume 1-5-2.5kg per day, depending on age and body condition, temperature and pasture availability. Adjust quantities based on weight and activity level.
